Cut and Paste in Win 31
Cut and
Paste through Windows 3.1 (Letter Logic)
The cut and
paste option is an ideal way to copy text from one
letter logic file to another through Windows.
- Go to the letter you want
to copy text to and clear a space large enough
to hold the new text.
- Go to the original
from letter, with Windows loaded, and press
Alt Enter.
- Using your mouse, click on
the bottom left arrow. This will center the document,
top left. Click on the top left "-" box. Click
on Edit. Click on Mark. Using the mouse,
move the cursor to the top left of the area you wish
to copy. (It is very important not to highlight the
letter boundaries.) Click and drag the mouse
highlighting the text you wish to copy.
Press Enter to save
the copied text.
- Press F10 to exit
the current letter and C to cancel the changes
made to the letter.
- Remaining in Windows, go
to the new letter.
- Click on the lower left
arrow to center the letter as before.
- Place the curor on the top
left corner of the area you wish to copy to.
- Click on the top left
"-" box corner. Click on Edit. Click on
Paste.
- The highlighted area will
paste across the letter.
- F10 and Y to
save. Repeat the above procedures to copy additional
pages of the letter logic.
