Rate Diagnostics
Rate Diagnostic Routine (ERRbbbuu)
This is the diagnostic procedure to help
determine which rate record is being utilized to come up
with the automatic rates for a folio. Especially useful
for determining why automatic rates are incorrect.
Procedure
- User code must have the RES: RATE DIAGS
turned on. Check this in user code setup H-U.
- After making sure Rate Diags is authorized,
exit First Resort to the F:\ACCOUNTS DOS
prompt.
- From the F:\ACCOUNTS directory, type DIR
ERRbbbuu. Use the business code instead of the
bbb and the user code in place of uu.
Once you verify that the ERRbbbuu file exists
for this user, delete the file by typing DEL
ERRbbbuu.
- Log back into First Resort and set up a test folio
with a stay for a period in which an incorrect rate is
occurring. Validate the folio rates by editing the
folio and pressing F10.
- Exit back to DOS and print out the
ERRbbbuu file. (If you are on a network, type
NPRINT ERRbbbuu NB NFF Q="?", where "?" is the
name of the network printer you are sending the file
to.)
- The print out will list which rate records the
software utilized to come up with the final rates on
the folio.
Make sure that you delete the ERRbbbuu file
before running this procedure. The ERRbbbuu file
can be extremely large and cumbersome if not deleted
prior to running this procedure. When run properly, the
report will give you a summary of which rate records are
valid for a particular stay and a breakdown of how the
system is coming up with a particular rate. |
