Creating a Shortcut to First Resort

Creating a First Resort Shortcut in Windows 95/98

In Windows 95, the program item concept has been replaced with shortcuts. Shortcut icons are used to go into folders or on the desktop.

To setup a shortcut on the desktop, the following steps need to be performed:

  1. Sitting at your desktop, click the right mouse button. A pop-up window will appear.
  2. Click New, another pop-up window will appear.
  3. Click Shortcut. In the command line box enter the directory where First Resort Accounts lives. For example; F:\ACCOUNTS\AVMAIN.EXE. Click Next.
  4. A title box will appear. Type First Resort Software. Click Next.
  5. A box will now appear with all the available icon choices. After you have decided which icon you want to attach to First Resort, click on that icon once. Now click Finish.

You have now sucessfully set up a shortcut for First Resort Software.
